An adult does not only mean a parent or guardian. A teacher, a coach, a librarian, a youth worker or a sibling over 18 all count. Pick the one you would actually tell the truth to.
Going around the gate is the failure, not the clever move. And if the person you ask says no, that is information about timing — not about you.

Build the five-step ladder so every step is something you can do alone and in the open — a message to someone you already know, a question asked out loud in class, a piece made and shown to nobody. Do step one today. Write the final step down, and tell someone the day there is someone to tell.
This is not a way around the gate. It is a smaller build that does not need one, so that having nobody to ask today does not end the ninety days. The full version is still there when the person is.
